We have a bittersweet announcement to share: Indira Sirisena has officially retired from practice and as a consultant at Pier Law. Indira first joined Pier Law as a Director following a merge of the Strowan Law and Pier Law practices in 2021. This followed a long career in private practice, as well previous work for Community Law Canterbury and as a Legal Advisor for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. Indira’s commitment to the community has always been remarkable. As a former board member of the West Christchurch Women’s Refuge and the Methodist Mission, she has tirelessly used her legal skills to support and uplift the wider community. Indira has been an invaluable part of our team, and her wisdom, compassion, and dedication will be deeply missed. Please join us in celebrating her outstanding career and wishing her all the best in her well-deserved retirement!
